7 Choices - Ebay’s Closing Down Of Digital Diliveries Is Not A Death Sentence

Posted by Honor @ 3:52 pm, March 28th, 2008

If you have not heard, effective March 31st, 2008 Ebay will no longer allow the sale of digital products through regular auction ads other than classified ads. Here is their announcement regarding the new and abrupt change.

Personally, I see this change as a great opportunity to now sell digital resale rights products at a decent price.

Too many people, were selling products at too low of a price and devaluing many really good ebooks, software and video tutorials, too.

But, where is the new opportunity going to be for you?

Here are some choices:

1. You can still sell at Ebay by selling the items on a CD and ship. Keep in mind that this could be a barrier to the sale for some buyers but it really is a super choice for quality products. If you want to get the most recent products of good quality then I suggest you join this site.

** Forget using Ebay’s classified ads system as you cannot place links in your ads as some say you can and you can bet that Ebay will be monitoring this situation closely.

2. You can switch to other auction sites but in the age of reality, folks, Ebay is THE place that everybody shops so why bother with smaller auction sites.

3. You can set up your own online digital store using the cheap or free scripts out there but there is the problem of how to get traffic. Don’t count on Google for traffic as cookie-cutter sites do not place well and are often removed from the index.

4. You could sell on other sites that are already getting the traffic such as Tradebit but items are being sold there at too-cheap prices just as they were on Ebay. I personally hate Tradebit as it is hard to search and you cannot place your ads in HTML format.

5. You can sell on the highly visited classified ad site HERE. If you do this, I suggest that you get a paid membership so that you can place an HTML ad including sending buyers directly to your PayPal account and direct them to your download link at the end of the sale.

6. You can set up a Squidoo lens and leverage their traffic. The best part about a Squidoo lens is that you can write articles and link directly to your own store thus building links and get direct traffic.

7. BEST OPTION > Set up a wordpress blog as an ecommerce store to sell your digital products at good, solid prices.

The fact is that Google loves blogs so why not make a custom (not cookie-cutter) estore to sell all the great digital products on your hard drive for a decent price!

Click to learn how to set up a wordpress blog as an ecommerce store and get going earning some real cash with your resale rights products!

You’ll be pleasantly surprised at just how easy it is to sell your digital resale rights products on the web when you combine the search engine friendliness of a blog with a simple ecommerce store setup!

To your success,
Honor

Ebay Selling Tip: Using Plural Words in Your Ad Title…

Posted by Honor @ 12:17 am, March 13th, 2008

Check to see if you are using “plural” words in your Ebay ads.

Often times a good percentage of searchers use “plural” terms when searching such as “design templates” instead of “design template” , by using plural terms on your title, you not only attract these viewers who type plural terms but also users who type singular terms.

For more advanced cutting-edge strategies to use to improve your Ebay selling, I recommend Underground Auction Blueprint which is BY FAR the most advanced book on eBay ever written.
