Ebay Changed The Rules On Ebook Sellers
The fire has died down a bit since Ebay changed the rules on ebook sellers.
With only 10 days notice, Ebay has literally killed thousands of ebook and digital download sellers virtually overnight.
Ebay, like Google, is certainly out to obliterate the small business owner from the web and make the web a medium only for the big businesses with the big marketing bucks.
But, there are those of us that just won’t give up and I am one of them.
According to Ebay, sellers can still sell downloadable digital products including ebooks, software, website template and graphics just so long as they do so in their classified ads under the category of Everything Else.
But, then they turn around and say that the ads are used as lead generation. This implies that the can be no links to purchase pages for products nor should there be any direct payment links or buttons in the ads.
Ebay, just like Google, makes rules and refuses to clarify but loves to punish if you break the rules that they are not bothering to illuminate!
Well, I for one, am not going to let Ebay stop me.
I have studied Ebay’s classified ad system and worked hard to discern all of their ba**-busting rules and come up with a perfectly safe and legit way to use Ebay’s classifieds to sell digital products without getting banned or having my ads removed.
The system is not totally new but there are some twists that every seller of digital products will love to know about.
You can use Ebay’s classifieds to not only market high end products but you can use the ads very effectively to build a list and build a long-term business without ever having to again dance across the hot coals of Ebay’s rules and regs.
